Section 73 (s.73) amendments to the Canada Water Masterplan submitted– opportunity to share your comments with Southwark Council
We have submitted a Section 73 (s.73) planning application to Southwark Council. This application, if approved, allows for changes to be made to the original planning permission that was granted by Southwark Council in 2020. The amendments will ensure that the project complies with the new building safety regulations and adapts to rising construction costs.
The proposed changes were shared with the community during a two-week consultation period from Monday, 25 November to Sunday, 8 December 2024. This included a virtual exhibition, as well as two in-person events in the former Time & Talents 2 (T&T2) unit, opposite Tesco, in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre. Thank you for to all those that attended our in-person exhibitions or engaged with our virtual exhibition, and for sharing your feedback and questions about the proposals.
Statutory consultation – next steps
The application has now been validated by Southwark Council. This means there is now a statutory consultation period until Saturday, 8 March where you can view the planning documents and provide a formal comment to Southwark Council for their consideration in determining the planning application. For details on how you can submit your comments, see below.
You can find all the application documents and make a formal comment by visiting Southwark Council’s Planning Register using the case reference number: 25/AP/0242 – the full website address is: https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/
Once you are on this website, enter the case reference number in the “Enter a keyword, reference number, postcode or single line of an address” text bar and click search. This should bring you to the planning application. From here, click on the application, where you will be able to view the planning documents and leave a comment.
