Planning application for padel courts submitted

Share this post:

On behalf of Rocket Padel, we have submitted a planning application to Southwark Council for four padel courts at the Surrey Quays Shopping Centre end of Canada Water Dock, near the entrance to Rafter Walk.

Padel is a fast-growing racket sport with similarities to both squash and tennis, played with solid bats and usually as a doubles game. The plan is for the courts to be operated by Rocket Padel, who currently run padel courts at Battersea Power Station, Ilford and Bristol.

The courts would be open for play from 7am to 10pm, seven days a week. They would be available for anyone to book.

If you’d like to comment on the application, please visit Southwark Council’s Planning Portal here and search for 25/AP/0409. The consultation runs until Tuesday 11 March.
