Corner Corner will incorporate an indoor farm, food hall and events space

We are delighted to announce that Southwark Council has granted us planning permission to create an innovative leisure destination on the southern dock edge at Canada Water. The concept, known as Corner Corner, will see food, culture, live music and sustainable farming come together under one roof.

Corner Corner will be the place to go for a distinctive take on the contemporary jazz club, and a unique food and drink offer; it will feature street food from trailblazing independent operators using fresh produce from London’s biggest commercial indoor vertical farm.

Corner Corner’s dining experience has been curated by KERB, early pioneers of the street food scene in London and the operators of Seven Dials Market. KERB have developed the food hall experience at Corner Corner to represent the diversity of London’s independent food scene while championing sustainability.

The indoor farm has been developed by sustainable food specialists Harvest London. It will provide a hugely diverse array of fresh produce directly to the food hall and all-day café, as well as supplying restaurants across London in a mission to build a sustainable, hyper-local food system. Corner Corner will also host interactive experiences to encourage local people to engage creatively with sustainable produce and cooking.

Broadwick, the events management company that reinvented the Printworks site as a major cultural destination, will take charge of Corner Corner’s music offer, with resident DJs spinning jazz, funk, soul, disco and world music on Thursday evenings, and live jazz and ticketed shows every Friday and Saturday (subject to licensing)

Roger Madelin, Head of Canada Water at British Land, said: “Having worked with world leading organisations Broadwick and KERB for many years we never cease to be amazed with their appealing, relevant and uplifting ideas, and Corner is going to be no different. This new cultural venue is a totally fresh concept, and securing consent to deliver our proposed vision is fantastic recognition of the critical role Canada Water has within London’s cultural offering.”

Corner Corner’s 18,000 sq ft live events space will also be available to hire, with Minecraft Experience: Village Rescue announced recently.
