Enjoy free, interactive family activities, perfectly designed for families to drop in, explore at their own pace, and create lasting memories together. Dockside Den is the ultimate summer line-up to keep children moving, learning, and inspired, from high-energy African drumming and theatrical science experiments to live bee encounters – we’ve got it all.

Finding us
By tube: Head to Canada Water station, cross the red bridge and you’ll find the Dockside Den on your right.
By car: Park at Surrey Quays car park and you’ll find the Dockside Den just behind the padel courts.

Creative Adventures
Get hands-on with a changing programme of free creative workshops. From beekeeping and science to drumming, arts and crafts, there’s something new to spark every imagination.

Join local artist Rod Kitson
Relaxed, drop-in creative workshops designed especially for children aged 5–12 years. Running in 2-hour sessions, these hands-on activities encourage imagination, self-expression and making through fun, accessible art projects suitable for all abilities.

Sharky & George Games
Join the experts in adventure play for action-packed games, imaginative challenges and unforgettable family fun. Sharky & George create experiences that encourage creativity, teamwork and plenty of laughter.

Brixton Chamber Orchestra
Discover the joy of live music with Brixton Chamber Orchestra. Through fun, interactive sessions, children and families can explore instruments, make music together and experience the excitement of orchestral music in a welcoming setting.

All events are FREE to attend, with no tickets or pre-booking required. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, attendance levels will be monitored and access to some events may be temporarily restricted if capacity is reached.
